IT HAS ALWAYS BEEN MY STRONG CONVICTION that publicly offered education that can enhance people's relationships with themselves as well as with others not be limited to those with fat bank accounts or high credit card limits. Whenever I read about some self-help celebrity giving expensive, "exclusive" workshops at pricey, pretentious spa resorts, I cringe, as I never want to exclude anyone that may not be able to comfortably afford what I feel is valuable knowledge. At the same time, it costs money to produce and promote trainings, and it simply must be a wise endeavor to undertake on my part financially, as well as energy- and time-wise. In-house workplace trainings are generally more lucrative financially, but they leave out a huge sector of the populace. Because I want to make information about how everyone can approach conflict and communication challenges in a manner that can empower instead of drain them, offering Community Education classes and workshops is very important to me.

But as I mentioned above, it costs money to produce and promote trainings, and without a decent marketing and advertising budget that will allow news and information about Community Education classes and workshops to be strategically placed for the audience I wish to reach, I have often found that attendance can be extremely limited, and that often makes the promotion and presentation process frustrating, as well as a loss financially. After my experience in offering classes and workshops in a variety of venues for almost twenty years, I have decided to become registered as a non-profit, educational organization in order to apply for grants and other sources of donated funding to cover those costs by people who also understand the value of not only the information, but also my expertise and passion for sharing them.
